Run dedicated round‑trip linehaul routes from Charlotte back to Charlotte and earn up to $0.85 per mile with performance bonuses. We operate out of FedEx’s Charlotte hub (#282), maintain one of the highest safety scores in the region, and are only interested in drivers who will help us stay the best. This is a FedEx‑scheduled, forced‑dispatch position: loads cannot be declined, and on‑time performance is mandatory.

What You’ll Get

Industry‑leading pay: $0.80 per mile with structured safety/performance bonuses—earn up to $0.88 per mile.

Dedicated round trips: All routes originate and end in Charlotte, NC, with terminal‑to‑terminal drop‑and‑hook. Showers are available at every terminal.

Home‑time flexibility: 34‑hour reset at home in Charlotte every week or choose to stay on the road and reset every other week to maximize earnings.

Late‑model Volvo VNL 860 equipment: Comfortable sleepers equipped with microwaves, inverters, and other amenities. 100 % drop‑and‑hook; no loading or unloading.

Supportive environment: 24/7 operations team to resolve on‑the‑road issues and maintain high safety standards.

Key Duties

Operate as a team driver on long‑haul routes pulling doubles and 53‑ft trailers; all freight is drop‑and‑hook.

Perform pre‑trip inspections, hook/unhook trailers, and complete required paperwork and logs.

Adhere to strict safety protocols and a no‑cell‑phone policy while driving; follow all company and FedEx rules.

Communicate with dispatch; arrive on time for every shift and appointment—late arrivals are not acceptable.

Requirements

FedEx linehaul team experience required; active FedEx badge preferred.

Valid Class A CDL with doubles/triples endorsement and clean MVR.

Minimum 2 years of tractor‑trailer experience in the past 3 years.

Ability to pass DOT medical exam and drug screening and comply with all DOT/FMCSA regulations.

Safety‑focused, punctual, and professional. We didn’t achieve the highest safety score at the Charlotte hub by hiring average drivers—we want professionals committed to excellence.
